Harbor Site Inn
The Harbor Site Inn is a veteran-owned/veteran-operated business under new ownership. We are here to assist hikers in meeting their goals and needs. Most hikers coming in off the Appalachian Trail are in need of the three R's: Refreshment, Relaxation, and Resupply.
For those in need of a base for slackpacking or day hiking, we've got you covered. Need a shuttle, we've got that too. Give us a call for availability.

We have a stand-alone two-bedroom two-bath Bunk house for Appalachian Trail hikers. It is available as a group rental for section hikers, day hikers, camping groups, and others planning larger group trips to explore and enjoy the area. This bunk house has four adult bunk beds and a futon in one room, and a private room with two twin-size beds. It also has a full kitchen, dining, and living space as well as a private laundry room and a private back porch. Reservations can be made for the whole house. Anyone looking for a single bunk should call for availability.
The Harbor Site Inn works to make our guests comfortable and provide what they need to continue their journey or meet their outdoor objectives.
We are located near the famous Appalachian Trail, Virginia Creeper Trial, New River, The Crooked Road Music Trail, Grayson Highlands Ponies, Horseback Riding, Fishing, Archery, Hunting and much more.
The main lodge has five private rooms. The blue room has a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and a queen bed. The orange room has a queen bed and shares the bathrooms and shower with the retro room which has two twin beds. We have a guest kitchen available for guests to prepare food for themselves. We provide only basic spices, cooking oils, and kitchenware. You need to bring your own food or you can purchase items from our shop to cook for your dinner/Breakfast. All we ask is that you respect others who are using the kitchen facilities and that you clean up after yourself.
Private or Shared Rooms
In the main Lodge we offer three private rooms, and is open all year round.
Two rooms have a single queen-sized bed, the Blue Room and the Orange Room, both available for a single night or multiple nights stay. These rooms are limited to two people.
The Blue Room has an Oriental flare and a private bathroom with a walk in shower.
The Orange Room has a comfy queen-sized sleigh bed and a Safari motif.
The 60's Retro Room with two twin beds and a private door to the outside offers a good option for two travelers who want separate beds in the same room.
The Orange room and the Retro room share the shower and bathroom facilities.
Guests have access to a full kitchen, Open Coffee and Tea Bar Self- Service, Epsom Salt Foot Bath, Fresh Linens & Towel, optional Laundry Service , Shampoo & Soap, Free WIFI, and Free Parking.
Bunk House
At the Harbor Site Inn, we have a private two-bedroom, two-bath house which has been made into a bunkhouse that opens on April 1st and remains open for individuals and groups until October 1st. It sleeps eight in the bunk room and two in a smaller private bedroom. Group pricing as seen on the Rooms page is for nightly or weekly rental of the entire house for up to ten guests.

Reservations are required to rent the entire house. If you are looking for a single bunk please call for availability.

We also hope to have space for tenting with outdoor privies and hot showers available soon.

The Bunk house has a full kitchen with what you need to prepare your own food or food you purchase from our shop/resupply store.
